Start 2021 Ready to Love

Open door leading to light outdoors

Here we are on a new threshold - at last! We made it through that long, dark corridor that was 2020. Now we stand just beyond the doorway in a new passage that is 2021.

As we stand on this threshold, I want to offer you a gentle nudge toward love in the form of some simple reflection questions.

Priming ourselves for love this way is important. No matter what this new year ahead holds, it's crucial now to strengthen the ways we embody love and remove barriers to love in every sphere of life, especially at work. We need love now to become our default way of being.

If you've been with us for any length of time, you know this love we stand for is not weak, superficial, or sentimental. It is strong and courageous. The love we need now will restore divides, heal trust, enable creativity, and support challenging norms to find breakthroughs.

As we emerge from this difficult time, we can't revert to old ways. We need to create better ways than we had before. Not 2019 ways. New ways of being for 2021 and beyond. That is going to take real honest to goodness love.

So as a first step on this first day, here are some simplest of simple questions to bring you through the doorway.

Stepping Through the Doorway With Love

  • What is love?

  • How have you demonstrated love in 2020? What did these experiences mean to you?

  • Where do you see love is needed right now and how might you demonstrate love as you enter 2021?

  • How have you received love in 2020? What did receiving this love mean to you?

  • How do you hope to receive love now at the start of 2021? What would it take to ask for the love you need?

  • What feelings have you noticed while reflecting on love today?

  • What is your resolve?

Wishing you a Loving New Year. More soon!

Love,
Renée
