Gatherings: A More Human Way

to Learn, Grow, and Build Culture

Our Signature Gatherings:

A place to discover and practice how to be loving and human at work!

Our signature approach is unique. We gather virtually or in-person to host breakthrough experiences where we don’t just learn about a concept but, well, experience that concept as a whole person, physically, emotionally, and intellectually in an integrated, human way aligned with how adults learn and grow.

This is not your usual meeting, training, or workshop.

This is a time to explore how to bring essential human qualities to life at work. You will discover and actually practice important human skills that are valuable and essential at work. You’ll experience and know the benefits as a team.

Such experiences may have been discouraged in an old industrial way of thinking and working. But today’s workers have different expectations. And if we don’t build that human muscle, it will be costly to human potential, happiness, health, wholeness, and contribution. Over time, these gathering experiences strengthen what’s healthy, help heal any wounds, and forge trusting relationships on the team.

Why bring A Human Workplace Gatherings and Experiences to your team?

This approach is neuro-physiologically friendly. It decreases the fear response with its adrenaline and cortisol, and increases the safety response with its oxytocin, serotonin, and dopamine. When we are in this condition of safety, we relax, settle in, think clearly, feel loyal, solve problems, point out issues, and are generally happier and, oh yes, more effective.

Why gather?

Gatherings are a key strategy to enhance workplace culture and well-being by giving team members meaningful experiences focused on valued human qualities.

This shifts the conversation, skills, mindsets, expectations, and trajectory of a workplace. At a Gathering, participants experience subtle but important shifts in how they meet, learn, and work together.

What to expect.

When we host a gathering, we create time and space for meaningful connection. We cut down significantly the amount of time spent talking at people and delivering information through lectures from the front of the room. Instead, we infuse “just enough” content on a topic to give participants ideas and information to use and think about.

Then, we create ample time for reflection and dialogue, practice and application, where real adult learning occurs. And we always close meaningfully to honor the time we’ve shared and the relationships built.

Each gathering is designed to mindfully attend to the whole person. People leave inspired and take insights and practices back to their teams. This helps to shift professional norms, mindsets, and habits to be more human-centered.

This is not only better for the people doing the work, but it’s also ultimately better for organizations and customers, improving long-term results, satisfaction, creativity, innovation, and problem-solving.

“I want my coworkers to feel welcomed and cared for when they walk into my office just like I experience at A Human Workplace Gathering.”
