Let’s see what love can do.

So many people are telling me they are DETERMINED not to give into fear anymore but to embody love.

None of these folks were intent on propagating toxicity to begin with. Few people intend that. But let's face it, we've all been under horrible stress triggering our neuro-systems so that we snap, over-react, withdraw, grumble and generally spread fear to each other. I've felt it, and I've done it too. Our brains are awash with chemicals that change us from our better selves. And then we stress about that.

But here's what SO MANY PEOPLE are saying: They are actively choosing to shift from fear to love. They are choosing to love themselves and others, including and especially those with whom they disagree.

They are ready to see how love might calm stress, heal divides, mend hearts, and repair relationships. They are taking intentional steps to care but, and this is important, not to compromise their values. They are not condoning but they are caring for their fellow humans who are afraid. They are not trying to fix anyone but easing their fears by showing love in simple ways.

Now, I'm no Pollyanna; this is hard. Love often is. But here's our opportunity:

We've seen what fear can do. It hasn't been great.

Now let's see what love can do.
