Silence is a teacher in the experience of presence

Silence is part of a conversation. Everyone can invite silence.

Learning to lead with the heart by default invites silence.

The heart needs the space to arrive in a different way to the mind.

The willingness to hold silence is powerful.

A moment of silence can allow us to ground ourselves.

To regulate our nervous system.

It can help rebalancing of power in a conversation.

And when we are able to witness another's human experience in silence. That's healing.

Silence is a necessary part of a conversation.

To invite presence.

To explore reflection.

To allow words to land in the space around us.

Silence is the oft unacknowledged participant and teacher in the experience of presence.

I am grateful that today, more often than not, I am in spaces where we can take a collective breath and cherish moments of silence.

What about you? Where in your conversations this week can you invite silence to find new wisdom?
