Sometimes, in Loving Leadership, the BIG Things are the BIG Deal. Big leaps forward. Big initiatives. Big gestures. Big investments. Big celebrations. Big campaigns. Big events. Sometimes the BIG Things are it.

But mostly, each day, it's the little things that matter. The smile. The greeting. The truth telling. The act of kindness. The pause to check in. The following up. The words of appreciation. The important brave feedback. The keeping of our word. The extra few minutes to finish. The boundary. The short walk. The question about how it went. The invitation to join. The amplification of another's voice. The listening. The thank you.

If you are feeling confined because you don't have the budget or the capacity or the bandwidth or the support for the Big Things you wish you could do, remember:

You have a BIG collection of little things that, truthfully, are the Big Things!

These little things are significant. They add up and make all the difference to people. And all those little things are under your control. You can choose to do any of them this week at any time.

Any time!

Here's to a week of loving our colleagues with the little things.
